Eating a healthy, balanced diet plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy weight, which is an important part of overall good health. Healthy living to most people means both physical and mental health is in balance or functioning well together in a person. In many instances, physical and mental health are closely linked, so that a change (good or bad) in one directly affects the other.

What it takes to live comfortably depends on each individual. However, there are basic things every human needs to survive. Survival depends on physical and intangible elements that feed your body as well as your mind.

The human body is made up of about 70 percent water. You won’t last long without this vital substance. In extreme heat situations, you can become dehydrated and begin to experience problems within hours.

Green tea is the healthiest beverage on the planet.

It is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body.

Alison Hornby, a dietitian and BDA spokesperson say the evidence about green tea’s health benefits is inconclusive.

She says: “In the Far East, green tea has been used as a treatment for a variety of conditions ranging from arthritis to weight loss, as well as a preventative measure for diseases such as cancer, although the evidence for the majority of these conditions is weak or lacking.

“However, as a social drink, it appears to be safe in moderate amounts, so lovers of green tea can continue to enjoy it.”

Many of us are eating too much , and not being active that’s why nearly two-third of the adult population in England is overweight.

Latest figures show that more than half of the UK population – 65% of men and 58% of women – are overweight or obese.

When we eat and drink more calories than we use up, our bodies store the excess as body fat. If this continues, over time we may become overweight and can become obese. Being overweight or obese can increase the risk of type2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke and some cancers.

Modern science is beginning to uncover the ultimate power of spices and herbs, as weapons against illnesses from cancer to Alzheimer’s disease.We’re now starting to see a scientific basis for why people have been using spices medicinally for thousands of  years. We just need to do some search about it and use it accordingly.
