Natural Treatment For Dandruff
There are a number of home remedies for dandruff that can help. Dandruff is a problem but its extremely treatable with good hair care products and natural remedies. Here are some basic natural remedies you need to apply in your hair to get rid of dandruff.
Tea Tree Oil
Shampoos with just 5 percent tea tree oil significantly improve the severity of dandruff. You can also add a few drops of tea tree oil to your favorite shampoo as you wash normally.
Baking soda is a magic remedy for dandruff. Some ingredients you use every day double as effective dandruff remedies—like baking soda. Wet your hair and then rub a handful of baking soda vigorously into your scalp. Skip the shampoo and go right to rinsing. Baking soda reduces overactive fungi that can cause dandruff. Your hair may get dried out at first, but after a few weeks, your scalp will start producing natural oils, leaving your hair softer and free of flakes.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar changes the pH of your scalp, making it harder for the yeast to grow. Mix a quarter cup apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup water in a spray bottle and spritz on your scalp. Wrap your head in a towel and let it sit for 15 minutes to an hour, then wash your hair as usual. Do this twice a week for good results.
Coconut Oil and Lemon
Heat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and mix it with equal amount of lemon juice. Coconut oil nourishes your hair, while lemon’s acidity helps balance the pH of your scalp. Just massage lemon juice and coconut oil into your scalp, massage your scalp gently with the mixture and Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with shampoo. Repeat this daily for good results.
The curd is another effective home remedy for treating dandruff at home, Treating with curd is a little messy but it’s very effective for dandruff. Apply some curd to your hair and scalp properly and let it sit tight for about an hour. Rinse it off with a shampoo.
Neem is very useful when it comes to treating dandruff. Neem has anti-bacterial properties and is an amazing home remedy for dandruff.
You just need to grind a bunch of neem leaves in a food processor to form a thick paste and apply this paste on your scalp and let it sit for 10 minutes or so and wash it off with water.
