Tips that I learned from doing the Keto diet
Everything will change when It comes to the way you eat. I found that the first week is the hardest. I have been on and off the diet many times now. Each time it helps me loose 10-20 pounds. Unfortunately, I tend to gain it back due to my poor habits.
When first going into the diet I found that it helps not to count calories for the first five days. I only count carbs and eat a ton. If I’m hungry I eat, but the carbs have to stay at your goal. By easing into the first week I find it much easier to continue.
The next tip would be to stroll the grocery store and pack up on snacks. Get used to reading labels and familiar with what you can eat. Be adventurous and try new things. After two weeks you will start to crave foods you didn’t care for much in the past.
Vegetables start to taste like new foods. Why? Because you are no longer addicted to sugar. You will now taste the sugar differently in foods. Your taste has changed until you eat sugar again.
Intermittent fasting works great with keto. Fasting helps keep your fat burning peaks from fizzling out. Fasting in the morning after sleeping seems to be the easiest way to combine keto with fasting. The two programs seem to work well when combined.
Pre make meals for the week. The last thing you want to do is eat a bag of chips because there is nothing else. When you run out of options you fail. It’s the old those who fail to plan, plan to fail concept. Your biggest advisory will be the lack of planning meals, preparing foods, and not having snacks on hand.
